Learn about North DeKalb Blaze Track & Field Club’s 2014 Outdoor Season at an informational meeting onWednesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. at North DeKalb Stadium on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road. Open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18, Blaze is a well-organized club that competes in AAU and USATF sanctioned events, including the National Junior Olympic Games. Events include sprints, middle distance running, race walking, jumping, throwing, relays and multi-events. Athletes learn proper technique, competition strategies, fitness tips, exercise routines, good nutrition, teamwork and sportsmanship. Practice is at North DeKalb Stadium on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road and meets are across metro-Atlanta, with regional and national meets at the end of the summer season. Lady Wildcats Basketball Camp – Summer 2014

June 9-12 from 9:00am – 2:00pm

Does your daughter like to play volleyball or interested in the game?
The Peachtree Middle School Volleyball program will hold several open gym dates for girls in grades 5-8. Open gym is a great way for girls to get on the court and really learn the game. Upcoming gym dates are April 15, 17, 22, 24 at Peachtree Middle School. Play time is from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
In addition to the spring dates, open gym dates are also planned for the summer. The summer program will also take place at Peachtree Middle School on July 21, 23, 25, 28, 30 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Finally, volleyball tryouts for the Peachtree Middle School Volleyball Team will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon and Sunday, Aug. 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

2014 Summer Camp Schedule
Week 1 - June 16 – June 20:Super Soakin’ Wet and Wild-(Aftercare
available until 4:00) How are you going to beat theheat this summer? By
coming to our Super Soakin’ week of fun, that’s how! We’llenjoy a
Wet and Wild week of water games and super soakin’ fun! You’ll
cherishthe classics: water balloon toss, balloon rocket launchers, and
squirttag. To top it all off you even get to soak your counselor on the
last day!Bring a swimsuit, a towel, and a super soaker if you have one,
and be preparedto get wet!
Week 2 - June 23 – June27: BombardmentBliss – (Aftercare available
until 4:00) Need I say more? Afavorite among the Vanderlyn
campers! Team up against your fellow campersfor the wildest, craziest,
knock down, non-stop Bombardment tournament ever!Work as a team to conquer
the camp and win the title of Bombardment championsof the world!
Week 3 – June 30 – July 3: Around the World Olympics – No camp July
4 (Aftercare available until 4:00) Do you want to hit the beach at
aHawaiian luau? Find adventure on an African Safari? Travel back to
ancientGreece and play some of the original Olympic games? You’ll find
all thisand more during our trip around the globe. You can see the world,
in just oneweek! The best hula dancers and lowest limbo competitors will
get some colorfulleis. Our young Olympians will even get a chance to win
the gold medal. (Nocamp on July 4)
Week 4 – July 87- July 11: Pirates Treasure Hunt -(Aftercare available
until 4:00) We’ll scour the woods for hidden treasuresand look for the
elusive Captain Jack Sparrow! After we learn how to read atreasure map, we
will be on our way to the hidden pirates’ treasure with thehelp of our
trusty compass. Get ready for a big show at the end of the weekbecause
we’re digging up the buried treasure and goodies will be shared by all.
Week 5 - July 14 – July 18: XtremeSportz/Bombardment II – (Aftercare
available until 4:00) Soccer,basketball, football, kickball, Bombardment,
and capture the flag. Do you likesports? Then this is definitely the week
for you! This fun-filled week ispacked with great games and non-stop
action! Be sure to get a good night’ssleep and eat your Wheaties so you
can play like a champion.
